Io Angeli’s paintings explore the fluidity of space.
City, home, room, all vibrate and compose the country which the body inhabits.
Io Angeli studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1981-1986) and continued her studies with a scholarship in London at the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins.
She has presented her work in 17 solo exhibitions and has taken part in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has collaborated with the Zoumboulakis Gallery since 2013.
Her works are to be found in public and private collections. She lives and works in Athens.
