Zoumboulakis Galleries present new works by Iannis Ganas under the title “Conversational Pace”.
The exhibition will consist mostly of paintings, acrylics on wood, photos and drawings.
In the language of long distance runners “conversational pace” is the kind of training that allows one to comfortably hold a conversation while running.
Iannis Ganas, a runner himself, experiences the space of Kalimarmaron stadium through repetition, self-suggestion, fatigue, introspection and the transcendence that comes with running.
Through his works he tries to compose his personal psychograph as a runner who observes and an artist who runs.

Iannis Ganas was born in 1979 in Athens, Greece.
Studied sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts, under the supervision of George Lappas.
(1998-2004)
Since 1999 he’s a member of George Hadjimichalis’ Workshop of projects and images in crisis.
