Yiannis Adamakis was born in Piraeus, Greece, in 1959.

He has presented his work in 35 solo and many group exhibitions in Greece, Belgium, France, Germany, Cyprus, Norway, Poland, Russia and Turkey.

Participation in International Art projects:
1988: International “en plein air” organized by the association of painters: “The Sunny Square” and the Ministry of Culture of Russia, Cherepovets, Russia.
2000: “Offene Ateliers” as guest artist, Bielefeld, Germany.
2016: International Art meeting organized by the Municipality of Kusadasi, Turkey.

He has published texts in magazines, newspapers and art catalogues.

He lives and works in Athens.
